HAPPY AUGUST, EVERYONE!
I am excited to share that we have had another tremendous month working to alleviate period poverty in San Diego—collecting donations, having packing parties, assembling Dignity Bags, and distributing much-needed feminine hygiene products to women in need.
UPDATES: July bought a series of awesome events and a few new collaborations with our generous community.

The House of Plants in Chula Vista hosted an amazing packing party. There, surrounded by succulents and cacti, we packed over eighty Dignity Bags full of L Menstrual Products that will be distributed later in the summer. Thanks so much to everyone that came out and helped—what a fabulous effort!

SDSU Circle K began a new and exciting partnership with Fulfilling Destiny. We look forward to seeing our relationship develop and grow.
MORE UPDATES: We are also excited to announce that we have a new video project in the works! This video will focus on the numerous aspects of experiencing period poverty. Our hope is that this video will empower and instill a sense of urgency in viewers, inspiring them to join this all-important movement.
UPCOMING EVENTS: I am happy to share that we have several upcoming events this August—we would love to see you there:
Clairemont Family Fun Day – August 3, 2019;
Kobey’s Swap Meet Non-Profit Day – August 17 @7AM-3PM;
Healthy Happy Summer Packing Party – August 23, 2019;
Healthy Happy Distribution Drive – August 24, 2019.
A LITTLE LEGAL UPDATE: Here at Fulfilling Destiny we are very aware of the high cost of feminine hygiene products, and we understand the burden and worry these prices cause for many women. Therefore, we are excited to see Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia’s new bill, AB31. This bill would repeal California’s “tampon tax.”
