Your support is needed more than ever. Help us end period poverty.

Happy Holiday season everyone!

Happy Holiday season everyone!

As 2020 is coming to a close, we want to extend our sincere gratitude to you, our Fulfilling Destiny family, for all of your dedication and generosity. This November, we received an outpour of support from amazing volunteers and partnering organizations. This blogpost highlights the inspiring community building off last month & more events to come!

This year has had many ups and downs and we are proud of you for getting through it all! We hope you stay safe and healthy this holiday season. We look forward to the year ahead and we thank you for your continued support in our mission.

Some amazing work that we are immensely grateful for:

The San Diego State University student organization, Delight held a virtual fundraiser for us and raised $1,600! Their work means so much to us and will go a long way in supporting our mission of helping California womxn have their period with dignity. We thank you so much Delight SDSU!

On November 22nd, Calibrated Records (@calibratedrecords) dedicated a virtual concert to raise funds for our mission at FD. Thank you so much to the organizers and artists for all of their hard work, we are grateful to have been a part of this amazing event!

Anteater Civil Liberties Union (@antclu), a UC Irvine student club, and Morgan (morgankj@uci.edu) have contributed so much to Fulfilling Destiny. Anteater Civil Liberties Union is a socio-Political Club at UCI that advocates for marginalized and underrepresented groups within their community. Great work, we are thankful for everything you do to support our mission!

We would also like to thank the San Diego Branch Church (@thebranchsd) for the incredible donation of menstrual products! This donation means so much to us and will help those in our community who need them!

Please contact us if you, or your organization, are interested in getting more involved with Fulfilling Destiny. We have many volunteer opportunities, social-distant friendly too!

More exciting updates from the Fulfilling Destiny family:

Our intern, Gabby, and her best friend, Stelle, packed 42 dignity bags for Victory Resource Center in Chula Vista! Victory Resource Center, previously known as Birthline, is a volunteer-run community outreach program that helps provide pregnancy and early childhood parenting support for womxn. Read more about our wonderful intern, Gabby, below!

Another thank you to our friend, Betsy (@eightthreadparh). Every time Betsy is in town she brings down donations for FD. We appreciate you!

Here’s a screenshot from our Calibrated Records listening party and monthly game night with our interns. We played Pictionary and did a scavenger hunt–definitely recommend playing with your loved ones this holiday season. Sending you all virtual hugs!

#GivingTuesday

Periods do not stop for COVID-19. GivingTuesday strives to build a world in which the catalytic power of generosity is at the heart of the society we build together, unlocking dignity, opportunity, and equity around the globe.

This impacts all aspects of society: health, work, education, and family. Imagine having your period without access to a home or bathroom. Imagine not being able to attend work with your period because you could not afford period products and food. Imagine having to tell your daughter that you can’t afford tampons or pads. This is a reality for many San Diegans. And nobody wants to talk about it. Fulfilling Destiny is working to change that. You can help!

With your donation, we will continue to work together to break the stigma about something that is naturally experienced. We invite you to walk with us on this journey as we provide period products to all who need them.

With just a $5 donation, you will provide a menstruator with her monthly products to maintain her dignity. It is simple: the more you give, the bigger the impact. With your donation, we will be able to substantially increase the number of Dignity Bags created and distributed. By joining our mission and donating, you can be a part of helping womxn maintain their dignity during an already difficult time in their lives. Your impact is invaluable!
