Motivation and Collaboration

Motivation and Collaboration

The month of May and June was an extraordinary month for Fulfilling Destiny full of monumental progress towards alleviating period poverty. During the month of May, we received natural menstrual product donations from L, known for their award-winning personal care products for menstrual hygiene. These products were put to use during our Packing Party on June 11th where San Diego Girl Scouts troops 10 and 6018 and their leaders joined us to assemble our dignity bags.

PUP, the punk rock band, chose to sponsor Fulfilling Destiny at their concert at the Music Boss. Founder, Eya Massan Touglo, Executive Assistant, Jacquelynn Nguyen, Volunteer Coordinator, Jayzle-May Pacleb, Secretary, Yawo Ezunkpe and with Fulfilling Destiny’s number one volunteer William E.  attended the event and made over $600 in donations! The event filled with passionate individuals who also hoped for a future where menstrual products are more accessible to anyone experiencing period poverty. We are so grateful for PUP, offering this opportunity for us!

Our collaborations for the month of June included where they offered their beautiful office space to assemble exactly 300 dignity bags! Packing Party

Folks from also joined us for a distribution drive in downtown for the Neil Good Day Center. Fulfilling Destiny also had the chance to collaborate with At Least Once a Month, an organization that dedicates their efforts towards supporting local movements For At Least once a month, they graciously joined Fulfilling Destiny to host their own packing party, assembling 100+ dignity bags with just 12 participants in less than 20 minutes! It is so amazing what we can accomplish when we come together and join forces.
