Happy November everyone, welcome to the Fulfilling Destiny blog!
October was another awesome month! The passion and hard work of the Fulfilling Destiny family continue on. This month has brought so much growth for our mission and we are excited to share it with you all. As always, thank you for your continued support in our mission to empower those experiencing homelessness to have their period with dignity.
Here are some updates:
We are so excited to announce that Fulfilling Destiny now has a podcast series, The FD Podcast! Initiated and hosted by community outreach intern, Jan-Marini Pacleb! As part of her final project, Jan-Marini explores important issues regarding period poverty and menstruation. The FD Podcast is a weekly show inviting all to join the much-needed conversation of menstruation. Menstruation needs to be discussed and menstruation needs to be understood. The podcast series is available on Spotify and Youtube. Follow our Instagram for weekly reminders and don’t forget to subscribe! Take a listen to Episode 4: Let’s Talk about Health Disparities here or scan below, using the Spotify app!
We are so grateful for Bridget Daffron and her family. They made over 250 plus Dignity Bags this month for Fulfilling Destiny! Bridget is also one of FD’s event leaders and always shows up for her community! We appreciate all of your dedication and hardwork!
We are happy to see our work expanding outside of San Diego county!
Another exciting update, we also dropped off donations to Clairemont Coalition on Homeslessness for their hygiene products drive for students experiencing homelessness in partnership with Clairemont Girl Scouts.
On Oct. 4th, Fulfilling Destiny had the honor to be a part of an open house hosted by Dyosa. Eya, Melanie, Bridget D., Oliver A., and friends volunteered for this amazing event. Fulfilling Destiny provided free Dignity Bags and Dyosa provided free pre-loved clothing items. Read more about Dyosa: For the Women, By the Women on their website or follow their Instagram!

At Fulfilling Destiny, we value and appreciate all of our volunteers. Our 6 community outreach interns do such amazing work for our organization. We are so proud of all of their accomplishments and drive to build community! Our bonding consists of monthly virtual game nights, this month we played jeopardy. Thank you Jessica & Jayzle-May for putting this together! Virtual hugs from all of us to you!
We are so appreciative for all of the hard work and support from our volunteers for assembling and delivering Dignity Bags! Having safe and socially-distant opportunities to give back to our community is something we are grateful for. Thank you to all of our volunteers for your dedication!
