Happy April, everyone!
We hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy.
From all of us here at Fulfilling Destiny, we want to thank you for your support. This newsletter highlights all of the amazing work during the past month. Our community continues to come together in powerful ways. We would not be able to make a difference without your help and support!
We want to emphasize our solidarity with our Asian American and Pacific Islander family. They have our support today and always. We, as a country, can no longer let hatred and violence continue to be perpetuated against the AAPI community. At Fulfilling Destiny, we firmly believe in compassion and uplifting ALL people, no matter who they are or where they come from.
March was an amazing month! We love seeing our community come together and work towards ending period poverty.
Reminder: We allow volunteers to have socially distant packing parties, distribute Dignity Bags, and host virtual fundraisers or donation drives. If you are interested, please contact jayzle-may@fulfillingdestiny.org

Here are some outstanding acts of service:
Big thank you to the San Diego Church of Christ for hosting a donation drive on behalf of Fulfilling Destiny! We received over 400 boxes of pads, tampons, underwear, flushable wipes, and soap bars from their donation drive in honor of Womxn’s History Month. We are beyond grateful for your support!
Executive Assistant of San Jose, Jessica Palaganas, assembled and dropped off these Dignity Bags to the Georgia Travis House back in February. The Georgia Travis house is a womxn’s shelter that provides interim shelter and supportive services to 12 families and 15 single womxn experiencing homelessness in San Jose. She hosted an Alumni virtual packing party with Presentation High School in San Jose. In total, they made 382 Dignity Bags. Thank you so much, Jessica, we appreciate you and all that you do in San Jose! See her pictures below!
Thank you to Alpha Phi Omega/Rho Pi Chapter at UCSD (@apoucsd) for hosting a COVID-safe packing party and putting together a total of 130 Dignity bags! These bags will be an incredible relief to many menstruators throughout San Diego. Thank you so much for your time, effort, and support to Fulfilling Destiny!
We also had Dignity Bag distributions to our partners, Think Dignity and the Women’s Resource Center (WRC) of Oceanside. Celeste did a drop-off of Dignity Bags to Santee Food Banks as well. Our Interns completed distributions as well! Katherine dropped off donations to Birthline Clairemont. Amran distributed Dignity Bags to Rachel’s Women’s Center and Sierra to Victory Center.
Staff member, Mariza, distributed 30 Dignity Bags to Community Fridge partners (@cityheightscommunityfridge). The City Heights Community Fridge is located on 3772 Wilson Ave. 92104 SD, CA. Anyone in the community can utilize the fridge and anyone can donate! Some items available: hygiene products, canned goods, fresh produce, frozen meals.
Thank you all for your hard work! We are so grateful to collaborate with amazing outreach organizations in San Diego and beyond. Read more about our various distribution partners here!
We love working with other organizations! If you or your organization/club would like to partner with us, please send us an email at jayzle-may@fulfillingdestiny.org

This March, we received so many donations from our amazing community. Thank you to Scensibles Bags for donating 500 pads to Fulfilling Destiny! We also received so many via mail, many of which were from anonymous donors. We are deeply appreciative of your help. These donations will go a long way in providing period products for menstruators in San Diego!
