Happy May, everyone!

As always, we hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy. We want to remind you that we are here for you. You are welcome to reach out and contact us, we would love to hear from you!

This April, we began new partnerships and had amazing events for Fulfilling Destiny. Not to mention, more events in the works! Be sure to read through this newsletter to find out all about our past and future events. We are so excited to share all the great news and volunteer opportunities!Thank you for supporting us in our mission to end period poverty in our community.

Reminder: we allow volunteers to have socially distant packing parties, distribute Dignity Bags, and host virtual fundraisers or donation drives. If you are interested, please contact jayzle-may@fulfillingdestiny.org

Awesome April Updates:

First, we would like to extend our greatest thanks to San Diego State University’s Student Nurses Association (SDSU SNA). They raised a total of $600 and over 300 individual period products! SDSU SNA also held their own socially distant outdoor packing party! We are so appreciative of your support and cannot wait for future partnerships!

Tory Burch held a fundraiser for Fulfilling Destiny as well! It was a wonderful one-day event, where a portion of sales were donated to our organization. We are deeply grateful for big partnerships like this and being able to raise awareness in our community! A big shoutout to our friend and long-time volunteer and board member, Bridget! Thank you very much for helping us with this fundraising event!

Team members, Nicole and Jas, distributed to San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD). Fulfilling Destiny donated over 800 Dignity Bags to students in need. We are so proud of you both for jumpstarting this huge project, great work! Check out Jas in the empty storage unit!

We are so excited to partner with SD Fridge Projects (@sdfridgeprojects). They strive to achieve food security by setting up a network of community fridges for all to use. They have events on May 1st and May 8th to help unsheltered folks get their stimulus checks. They will be distributing Dignity Bags there and at all of their community fridges in the near future! Thank you for all the great work that you do, we are happy to see our community come together to uplift others!

Check out these images from other distributions from Fulfilling Destiny founder, Eya!

On April 27th, Fulfilling Destiny partnered with JAG Kitchen Astra Club, HEC San Isidro and Altrusa International to host an educational presentation. This virtual presentation was all about the basic needs of menstrual hygiene products.

We love working with other organizations and local businesses! If you or your business/club would like to partner with us, feel free to contact us at jayzle-may@fulfillingdestiny.org
