It’s 2020!

It’s 2020!

Happy February, everyone!

Welcome to the Fulfilling Destiny Blog! We are so excited you have stopped by to check out our nonprofit. Let’s get right to it!

Awesome Updates:

The Fulfilling Destiny Board of Directors had their annual strategic planning meeting at The House of Plants in Chula Vista on January 2. There, we discussed new ideas and opportunities for continued growth. Every day we strive to better serve our community!

We are thrilled to announce that Melanie Azcuna has become our newest board member! She will be taking on the role of Volunteer Committee Director.

“Melanie was born and raised in the Philippines. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology. There she also received the highest co-curricular award, the Institute Leadership Award. Melanie is currently a branch manager at US Bank. Melanie is also the founder and CEO of The House of Plants in Chula Vista.”

Thank you, Melanie! We are so excited to have you as part of our Fulfilling Destiny Family.

Distribution Drive: On January 25, we distributed Dignity Bags to community members at the Neil Good Day Center in downtown San Diego. Thanks to everyone that come out to help!

Interested in joining us for a Distribution Drive? We will be back at the Neil Good Day Center on February 22. We hope to see you there!

We are super excited to announce that we have added another member to our team. Ariana Garcia is our new Community Outreach Intern. We are so excited that she is joining our quest to end period poverty in San Diego!

“Ariana Garcia is a senior at San Diego State University where she is studying Political Science and Business Management. She hopes that interning with Fulfilling Destiny will bring her real-world experience working with a non-profit organization and provide her with the tools to inspire others.”

Welcome, Ariana!

We are happy to announce two new partnerships: the Student African American Sisterhood at San Diego State and bloc.babe! Student African American Sisterhood works to establish unity among women of African descent by fostering educational success, social well-being, and economic empowerment. Bloc.babe is dedicated to creating inclusive spaces for women to come together to make meaningful change. We are excited to be working with two awesome organizations!

In more exciting news, Bridget Daffon has officially joined Fulfilling Destiny as an Event Leader!

We are overwhelmed by your passion and generosity.
